Early Pregnancy Assessment: 2000 : First impressions are important!
Andrew D. Hull, M.D.,
UCSD Assistant Professor
Department of Reproductive Medicine
Dr. Andrew Hull, a specialist in the treatment of high-risk pregnancy,
looks at innovative, non-invasive diagnostic tools that can be utilized
very early in pregnancy. These tools can be detectors of chromosomal
anomalies, structural abnormalities and predictors of early pregnancy
loss.
Pioneering assessments utilizing 3-D ultrasound can now yield diagnostic
information previously unattainable with traditional 2-D imaging
techniques. This diagnostic information can greatly assist the management
of high-risk pregnancies. 3-D technology is also being explored as a
promoter of early mother/child bonding with expectant mothers at risk for
substance abuse. Join us for an informative and thought provoking seminar!
