The Fetal Research Society (FRS) is an
informal organization of biomedical scientists who are dedicated to
improving the health and well being of the unborn and the newborn by
advancing knowledge and improving state-of-the-art care through
biological research. The function of the Society includes sponsoring
scientific meetings which focus on fetal research, helping other
research organizations improve their focus on the fetus, and supplying
information to members and other organizations about relevant
opportunities including upcoming meetings.
Society membership is open to all members of the scientific community
interested in fetal biology. Research by members is conducted in a wide
variety of areas including molecular regulation of gene expression,
cellular biology, organ physiology, systemic and integrative physiology,
and clinical trials.
