Welcome to UCSD's Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences. We are one of the finest academic departments in our specialty in the country. We offer excellence in patient care, research, and teaching through our many highly trained academic faculty who are dedicated to their work. Many of our faculty members  have major leadership roles in some of the most important national organizations in our field, including the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, Society of Family Planning, and the American Urogynecologic Society. Our faculty have been presidents of national societies including the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the American Urogynecologic Society and the American Gynecologic and Obstetrical Society. Perennially, our faculty is well represented in the publication, The Best Doctors in America, and as Top Docs in San Diego Magazine.     • Congratulions to Pamela Mellon, PhD for receiving the 2017 Bernice Grafstein Award for Outstanding Accomplishments in Mentoring.  The award recognizes an individual who has shown dedication to mentoring female neuroscientists and to facilitating their entry or retention in the field.  Pam has successfully trained and mentored more than 200 faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and masters and undergraduate students.  


    • Congratulations to Mimi Lukacz, Linda Brubaker and their urology colleagues, Mike Albo and Yahir Santiago- Lastra for their excellent review article on Urinary Incontinence published in this month’s JAMA (click here to read the article).This article took a tremendous effort by these faculty members and is a truly valuable clinical reference for anyone taking care of women with incontinence.  Please join us in congratulating them.
