Welcome to UCSD's Department of Reproductive Medicine. We are one of the finest academic departments in our specialty in the country. We offer excellence in patient care, research, and teaching through our many highly trained academic faculty who are dedicated to their work. Many of our faculty have major leadership roles in some of the most important national organizations in our field, including the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, Society of Gynecologic Oncologists as well as editors of the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Perennially, our faculty are well represented in the publication, The Best Doctors in America, and these world renowned specialists cover the gamut of our specialty from gynecologic oncology, high risk pregnancy management, fetal diagnosis and therapy, urogynecology, infertility, as well as general gynecologic and obstetrical women's health care.

For referring physicians, we offer a full scope of specialty and subspecialty faculty clinicians for consultation in both the ambulatory and hospital settings. Research is conducted in a wide variety of areas within the Department of Reproductive Medicine. Individual faculty and groups of faculty have research programs which explore development, regulation, and control at the molecular, cellular, organ and systemic levels in the reproductive areas. The Department participates in prestigious and nationally recognized studies such as the Center for Reproductive Science and Medicine Center grant, the Women's Reproductive Health Research Career Development Program, the Urinary Incontinence Training Network, and the Pelvic Floor Disorders Network.
